I've a very annoying(and strange) problem with hibernation. I'm using
Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bit. The kernel is 2.6.35-24-generic-pae, GNOME
2.32.0.
I have 4G RAM and the swap is slightly larger than 8G.
It's been a month and the hibernation works exactly in the following pattern:
I know I'm biased, but Python is generally available on systems. RPM-based
systems and Gentoo require it, and most other distros need it in their base
layout. (Slack might be the exception here.)
I'm deeply sorry that you don't like Python, but it's not a dependency
anybody feels like working
