-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear Xperts, I have the need to test some interactive application, and searching the Internet I found news on a couple of X extensions that could do what I need.
The extensions I am referring to are the Xtrap extension and the Xtest/record extensions. I used the xtrapout -e -f pippo.trap command to record a sample input recording, and played in back with xtrapin -f pippo.trap which more or less does the work, but keyboard events are wrong, that is, I get each key repeated many times instead of the single keypress that was in the original recording. The xtrap man page seems to imply that the extension in question is obsolete, or at least that record and xtest should be used instead, but I did not find other ready-made tools to record and play back X events in my searches. Any pointer or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
