I just installed Radeon VE card. I compiled latest XFree86 CVS and linux kernel 2.4.18-pre1. Without OpenGL it works OK, but when I add to Module section: Loaddri Loadglx X doesn't run and I see: Symbol __glXActiveScreens from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libdri.a is

The -bpp switch will only have an effect if the cooresponding color depths are defined in the XF86Config-4 file. So, if you want to switch between 8 and 24bpp by invoking X as such: (X ... -bpp 8/24), you'll need both color depths defined in the config file in your Screen section like so:
