Hi all,
My setup.. Linux 2.4.18 (built) with X 4.2.0 (built). ATI.2 drivers on a
Radeon 8500 card. The card has a vga and a DVI output. Both the heads by
default are in a clone configuration (right from boot time I see the
same things on both heads). I have a few questions:

Title: Monitor problems
Hi.
I just recently upgraded our Xfree86 from 4.0.3 to 4.2.0. I am running on SCO Unixware 2.1.3. After upgrading, some of the older monitors we have go blank when xdm is brought up. I am using the same information for HorizSync and VertRefresh in /etc/X11/XF86Config

There are bugs in suspend in general with Linux (having nothing to do with

Basically, if the system is busy at the instant that the
suspend request is made, it fails.
Here's a proposal for a tiny protocol extension (one request other than

robust.
I'm willing to do the work in implementing this for XFree86, though

In this new version I fixed a few things:
1) Problems with interleaved video
2) Problems with DualPrime motion
3) Added support for HD program streams
4) Removed some of the fast paths in the macroblock code because
they were broken and keeping HD from working. Unfortunately,

I downloaded and compiled the DRM drivers from xfee86.org as suggested by two very
helpful people. I copied the r128.o file to
/lib/modules/2.4.9-31/kernel/drivers/char/drm/r128.o and restarted X. I checked the

This is the result from my log file:
