No, any dislay numbers which are not in use are ok. already running
is fine. Just the display number :10 was already in use. You tried
another number :8, that seems working fine.
X11rdp itself is properly working. Could you try again

Thank you so much for your help so far!
I tested a few things and realized that it depended on the user who logs in
whether X11rdp crashes or not. I then deleted the .config folder in the
users home directory where it was crashing and it suddenly worked for them,
too.

Yes, your are right, X11rdp does not start and complains about an X server
already running:
