You could use alextud's patch above, but it seems like a hassle to fully
recompile Thunar just to fix this little bug.
I've never had this problem before, it must have something to do with
GNOME 2.22, because back on Gutsy I was running a backported version of
Thunar 0.9.0. :/

We are closing this bug since it is about an unsupported version of
Ubuntu. Edgy went out of support on April 25th, 2008. If this bug is

Problem is extreme on Dell Latitude CP M233ST with NeoMagic 2160 with
video controler in Hardy. When entering a command in terminal, nothing
shows up. I have to minimize and then maximize the screen and the

For a work around, you can use another terminal emulator (aterm, xterm,
gnome-terminal, etc, etc) or ctrl+alt+f2
Its not ideal and I hope somone who knows about these things has some time
to take a look at it soon.

I'm using an xubuntu 8.04 just installed.
I don't know if it's a wrong setting in user permission (or something similar)
that generates all these problems or if they are different bugs (surely there's
a problem with PolicyKit configuration!). However these are the problems:
