XUpdate via XSLT

2002-09-10 Thread Crull, Torsten

I just subscribed to this mailing list and first i want to say

 Hello!

to anybody. :-)

I think, it should be possible to design an XSLT-File, which anybody can use
to update an XML-File with an XUpdate-File using a standard XSLT-Processor.

I made a little slide to show, what I mean:

 XUpdate_via_XSLT.gif
Does anybody have alredy tried this idea? Are there any comments?

best regards

Good idea!
Yes, it should be possible to make a general XSLT that transforms a specific
XUpdate to a specific XSLT for that update.

XSLT is the power of XML!

SV: XUpdate via XSLT

2002-09-10 Thread Gannholm Torbjörn
I forgot to add that I have not done this, but something similar:

A general XSLT that converts a specific xhtml to a specific xslt for
converting an xml-document into an xhtml-view.

So, yes, it should be possible.
