You could just use the mozdev delicious extension :

or foxylicious :

or both. they both have pros and cons, and are both loads better
than the delicious toolbar... foxylicious does not have posting
however, so if you want
I was hoping the Firefox Toolbar would actually let me use bookmarks
directly from within Firefox. For example, it's be really cool to pick
tags which I want displayed on my delicious toolbar and then have
those tags become drop down menus of all of the bookmarks with that
tag. Another option
