Re: [delicious-discuss] del.icio.us statistic
Hi Joshua 18.5.2004 you said: There's about 400k posts and 200k links. Can we have new numbers? - how many urls - how many users - how many tags? That'd be great. Ok, no answer here.. :-) As I really wanted to know, I did some research. I think there are about 9 million posts on delicious. I've argued about statistics and extrapolation in my post: http://www.pui.ch/phred/archives/2005/05/delicious-statistics-that-is-extrapolation.html I'd be great to hear what you think.. greetings Philipp ___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[delicious-discuss] tags in /api/posts/all result not in UTF-8
Ron Perry ronp001 at gmail.com Thu May 5 15:58:41 EDT 2005 I'm issuing a /api/posts/all query. The URL descriptions come back correctly in UTF-8, but the tag string seems to be in some other encoding. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I've encountered this problem as well in Japanese and it is infuriating. One thing you could do is to export your posts by day, instead. If you export by day, the tags are saved correctly in UTF-8. For example: api/posts/get?dt=2005-05-19 BTW, I can't search in Japanese either from IE 6.0 (I don't know about the other browsers). When will that be fixed? This is bizarre. Both objects use the exact same rendering code. I don't know how this could be happening. Argh. BTW, I can't search in Japanese either from IE 6.0 (I don't know about the other browsers). When will that be fixed? The backend for searching is horrible. I hope to have it replaced soon. -j ___ discuss mailing list discuss@del.icio.us http://lists.del.icio.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
