I have an amd64 gentoo. It runs up-to-date components. It is running
with stable ebuilds (except of some ebuilds like monodevelop).
I've emerged some games too, and thats my problem. Most of these games
just won't run.

I shamefully had not run a --depclean for a few months.
Today I did and was surprised by the barrage of gst-plugins to be
removed.
I have not changed any USE flags nor removed any packages.
The plugins to remove include a large bunch where the 0.10.* version is
to go but the 1.2.* version is to
