Apparently so has John Donovan Lambert of TeamDatabase.com, who publishes a newsletter on that very topic. He offers these rhetorical questions about database technology in the "22nd century and beyond": Will SQL become obsolete? Will DBAs will be replaced by artificial intelligence? What will replace binary computations? How will nanotechnology and quantum computing affect relational modeling? Will grid computing change the economics of data analysis? How will in-transit processing speed distributed data analysis? In general, how will future users access, manipulate and analyze data?
