DYS Analytics, ActiveBuddy, AvantGo and Eagle Technology Consultants will each demonstrate new products that complement Lotus' offerings. LOTUS REJOINS BASIC E-MAIL ARENA | CRN Though it's not quite the comeback of cc:mail, Lotus offered more details Monday about its plans to re-enter the basic e-mail fray with a Web-based product. The unnamed offering, known currently as "Next Gen," is slated to ship in the second quarter and will work with any existing directory or authentication system. MESSAGING HEAVYWEIGHTS DRIVE COLLABORATION AGENDAS | InfoWorld Who says the messaging battle is over? Touting Web services-based component models, IBM and Microsoft are vying for developer loyalty with upgrades to their collaboration-focused messaging platforms. While this week Lotus uses the stage at Lotusphere to unveil its latest plans for Notes and Domino, Microsoft is preparing to ship the next version of Exchange, formerly codenamed Titanium, later this year. MANIC MONDAY FOR SQL SERVER ADMINS | SearchSecurity.com Ideally, most vulnerable SQL Servers should have been patched over the weekend to counteract the Slammer worm. But security experts know that just isn't the case. Patching mission-critical systems is difficult and could result in costly downtime. http://www.searchsecurity.com/originalContent/0,289142,sid14_gci876814,00.html The headlines above and others are available on our news page. >> Full Stories: http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/news/ ___________________________________________________________________ :::::::::: DON'T MISS THESE IMPORTANT FEATURES AND LINKS :::::::: ___________________________________________________________________ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= LOTUSPHERE SPECIAL EVENTS PAGE | SearchDomino.com Visit our special events page to get the latest news and announcements from Lotushpere. >> VIEW the special events page: http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/specialEvents/1,289653,sid4_gci874771,00.html =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= PREPARATION AND TEST TAKING STRATEGIES | SearchDomino.com DATE: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. EST TITLE: Certification Series: Preparation and Test Taking Strategies SPEAKERS: Barbara Bowen, Worldwide Professional Certification Programs, and Bill McCook, Manager of Exam Development, Lotus Education IBM/Lotus Software SUMMARY: Join Barbara Bowen and special guest, Lotus' new Manager of Exam Development, Bill McCook, for a lively discussion aimed at helping you get ready for your certification exam. A company that produces filtering software came up with the top 10 most annoying "deleteables" of 2002. And, not surprisingly, smutty spam was king. Free passwords to sex sites topped the "least-wanted" list, followed by those vexing Viagra offers, home refinancing deals, and the "help me now, and I'll make you rich later" scam messages sent by that bogus African prince. Oh, and that stinking "amazing tiny remote control car" was on there, too. Ugh -- never has the "delete" button enjoyed such popularity.
