Reusable field validation function
[William Key]
Rather than using input validation formulas, or even a separate LotusScript validation code for each field, this function provides a reusable, easily-maintained validation method. Also, since actual field names are often not 'user-friendly' this function returns friendly field labels when prompting the user for input.

ADVICE:  Ask Andre Guirard: Update all docs in a view without using a loop
Dear Andre: Is there any efficient way to update all of the columns in a view to a certain value without using a loop? Also, is there any way to retrieve only the record with the biggest value in a column? Like what the keyword MAX() does in an SQL statement.
Click here to read Andre's expert response.

POLLS:  Poll: J2EE -- How fast, how soon?
J2EE: How much do you need to know? When do you need to know it? IBM owns Lotus, and a lot of the company's next-generation software solutions require Java and J2EE, not just LotusScript. What do you think? Cast your vote in our poll.
