There's 2 options.. one is the enveloped signature (I get terribly confused by the names enveloped and enveloping signatures). It's a standard transform that signs the parent of the signature, and automatically removes itself. If you want more finegrained control, take a look at the XPath here() function that's specified in the spec. It allows you to find content based on the location of the signature. I am no XPath expert myself, but it should be fairly easy to write up some XPath to travel up and down the chain a few times to find what you need. Erwin
