As a community we need to be careful about talking about how others 'screwed us.' I 'screwed up' by endorsing the Utilite before we had run it through our QA process. Engineers at compulabs 'screwed up' when their prototype didn't perform as well as expected. We all might feel 'screwed' that something we had depended on did not materialize.
