Earle,
I used Nitrous Oxide a long, long, time ago in my 69 Z-28. I wanted to go
much faster than that little high revving 302 CID motor would take me, but
didn't want to hurt the originality of the car. I went from 13.70's to 11.70's
@ 118 just hitting it in 3 and 4 gear. I found that I needed to retard timing
at least 8 degrees initial (at the distributor). I also used 2-3 ranges colder
plugs. I am sure you are not using the same amount of No2, as mine was a 250HP
2 stage shot, but I would proceed with caution using No2. Read your plugs. They
will tell you more than anything else. You start melting electrodes, and
pistons are not far behind. Make sure your fuel pump has adequate pressure and
volume to handle the injectors and No2 fuel enrichment at WOT. Hope your clutch
and pressure plate are up to the task when the No2 is engaged if you have a
manual transmission.
Your ET was the same, but what was your MPH on the bottle and off the bottle?

Hi Guys.

I have an intercooled Turbo engine in my Rampage.

When using Nitrous it goes faster, but has the same 1/4 mile times.

When I use the Nitrous, does the timing need to be changed from 12 degrees?

To what setting?

Thanks Earle
