Hi Yuri,
some time ago I started a project called "inflib", which is a library to
read and decode INF files. It is written with Virtual Pascal, and it is
nearly complete (bitmap decoding still a bit broken). I stopped working
on it for lack of time, but I'd like to license it under the GPL (LGPL?)
and donate it to Netlabs.

I wrote it originally so it would have been easy to create multiplatform
INF reader.

It is completely object oriented (with the deplhi-like class model), and
well modularized. It also does not contain any code related to rendering
the extracted text, so it is probably easier to use than extracting the
relevant parts from NewView.

One last note: while I was writing it, the thought hit me that it would
have been fairly easy to "revert" the procedure to build an IPF
compiler... maybe someone wants to take on the task?

If you're interested I'll upload it to Netlabs ASAP.

Bye

              Cris
