I'm currently using fx2lib from https://github.com/mulicheng/fx2lib as library, but depending on how much of that will be really needed in the end, we could even drop that and manually code the (probably very tiny) amounts of FX2 lib code needed from there. I'll try to finish this up soonish, it has been sitting on my disk for way too long now.
