Hello,

Please note that as of December 20, 2007, "Focus on the Playbook: A Collaborative
Team Approach for Serving Students with Visual Disabilities" was replaced with a
revised version.

Serving Students with Visual Impairments: The Importance of Collaboration
Third in a series that focuses on students with visual impairments, this movie
highlights the importance of collaboration between the general education
teacher and other individuals knowledgeable about the needs of students with
visual disabilities. In it Ms. Milton, a beginning third-grade teacher, learns
that two students with visual disabilities will be joining her class. Although
she is initially concerned that she will not be able to effectively meet their
instructional needs, she soon learns that she can consult and collaborate with
a number of individuals. We invite you to join Ms. Milton as she discovers her
roles as a general education teacher instructing students with visual
impairments, and the supports that other individuals can provide.

The Center also posted the Data Management and Graphing Tool in the module "RTI
(Part 4): Putting It All Together." This tool allows teachers to track progress
monitoring data for each student. With it, teachers can set beginning and end goals for
their classes and enter each student's progress monitoring scores. The program will
automatically generate a graph for each student and calculate the slope. A link to the
