Hello.

We at the IRIS Center would like to announce the posting of the latest addition
to our RTI module series, RTI (Part 5): A Closer Look at Tier 3.

In it, you will meet Dr. Katy Stromwell, a district-level general education
director who, along with other district personnel, has recently decided to
adopt RTI to improve the reading outcomes of students in her district. As Katy
and her team begin to develop an action plan for implementing the approach,
they feel confident in their ability to create their own plan for Tiers 1 and
2. However, as they begin to formulate a plan for Tier 3 intervention, they
realize that they might be in need of more information about what Tier 3
intervention entails and how best to implement it. We invite you to join Katy
and her team as they visit Rosa Parks Elementary to learn how to determine
which students will receive Tier 3 intervention (i.e., special education
services), how to implement Tier 3 reading interventions, and how to assess
Tier 3 response to intervention. You can view the module, which also explores
parent involvement and issues related to English language learners, at HYPE!
