My container of Calcium Ascorbate reads as;
    "Each gram contains 1000 mg of Calcium Ascorbate equivalent to 820 mg of
Vitamin C [Ascorbic Acid]
1/4 teaspoon provides approximately 1090 mg of Calcium Ascorbate or 890 mg of
Vitamin C[Ascorbic Acid].
Vitamin C is a factor in the normal development and maintenance of
bones,cartilage,teeth and gums."

     I did encapsulate this one time and found nothing outstanding or
detrimental,but did not repeat as I believe the best is as I posted
recently;Sodium Ascorbate.
