I've just been reading up on heart disease can also be triggered from
*silent inflammation* - a book that talks about this is called
"The Anti-Inflammation Zone: Reversing the Silent Epidemic That's
Destroying our Health"
by Dr Barry Sears.

Excerpt:
...vasospasm, the second cause of fatal heart attacks. Pro-inflammantory
eicosanoids act as powerful constrictors of your arteries and can lead to
a vasospasm, a potentially fatal cramp or "charley horse" that prevents
blood flow to the heart.
Lack of levels of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids in the heart can also lead
to a fatal heart attack cause by chaotic electric rhythms in the heart.
This condition, called sudden death, accounts for more than 50% of all
fatal heart attacks.
