i built fresh from cvs tonight & just did a couple flamethrower install on ia64. the install started - it got to the point of installing the image just fine - i didn't see the libpthread problem. Brian: i'm guessing you just had an old boel_binaries on your server or something... maybe an x86 version?
however, both times i did it, i got something similar to what i've attached below. the image never finished (not a surprise, since i never have seen one finish). what's different is that the machine reboots anyway and reports a success. however it was missing at least all of /var. this is an rx2600 server/client, both using their 10/100 eepro100 interface, connected to an hp (2524 i think - i can confirm tomorrow) procurve switch.
