In my testing today, I observed a grub issue on i386. Machine failed to
boot properly after imaging.
So, here's my short summary of issues from memory (bugs, not features
that are lacking):
* grub issue
* si_mkautoinstallcd - currently using hard coded size related
options.
* if using a UYOK kernel, then we should test for device files
before trying to create them. this is harmless, but creates error
messages on the console.
After that, I'd be comfortable releasing 3.7.3, which means that it
could be just a few days away.
Good things:
* it builds cleanly for me on: i386 (ubuntu), amd64 (ubuntu), ia64
(debian), ia64 (redhat), ppc64 (ubuntu)
* uyok _and_ standard kernels seem to be working for installs
* standard kernels for the arches above are all at a very recent, if
not the same level
* many of the old kernel patches have gone away
* hotplug startup is very fast now (standard kernels, at least)
Thus spake Bernard Li ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):
Hi Brian:
Do you see any outstanding issues with 3.7.3 or are we ready to release?
Thanks,
Bernard
