Once again I got an error message that made no sense: Retrieving /etc/systemimager/mounted_filesystems from 192.168.253.49 to check for mounted filesystems... ------------- 192.168.253.49 mounted_filesystems RETRIEVAL PROGRESS ------------- @ERROR: Unknown module 'root' rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (42 bytes read so far) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(150)
it wasn't until I hacked the code to print the rsync command that I realized my problem (the details of which really doesn't matter). However, I bet there are user of system imager who are very capable individual but may not know perl and therefore not be able to hack things as easily as many of us. I'd assert by including a --verbose switch which prints the commands before they are executed one could then easily cut/paste the command into a separate window and figure out why it is failing outside the SI environment. naturally it would be up to others to decide which commands to expose in such a way, but I'd vote for most. -mark Using Tomcat but need to do more?
