honestly I don't know why... :-( it's a standard linux kernel with a
standard busybox environment.. it _must_ work! :-)

Are you sure it only hangs? maybe it doesn't print anything on the
console... what happens if you press CTRL+C for example? have you waited
some time to see if it's only a temporary boot-up slowness? Your clients
are i386, right?
