If your image server has the same hardware as your clients, then simply copy the image server's /etc/modprobe.conf to the image (i.e. /var/lib/systemimager/images/<imagename>/etc).
Otherwise, boot the client into rescue mode, get a copy of /tmp/modprobe.conf and put that in the image.
