Greetings,
Hopefully this'll make it to the list - been having problems
getting my stuff to post.

First, thanks for all of the great code, the hard work is much
appreciated. I've checked out HEAD, and have been poking around, and
applying some patches of changes I've made. I'll send you all a diff of
the entire cvs once I'm done. I've added (as I've already told Brian) a
new config param to flamethrower.conf named METHOD, which can be either
cpio or the standard tar. This change allows large images that exceed
the size of the tmpfs to still be multi-cast using cpio with crc
checking, and written on the fly to the target disk(s). flamethrowerd
and flamethrower_client both have been modified, and two small helper
scripts are added: server side it's udp-sender-method, and client side
it's udp-receiver-method. New methods can be added in the future simply
by adding the appropriate handlers in these files, and adding the method
type to the .conf file.

Other issues: x86_64
Before I re-invent the wheel here, I'm curious as to the support of
x86_64. It appears that the standard i386 kernel/initrd is what's being
used for this, but this won't work in my situation as the PCI chipset on
my opteron boxes is the AMD-8111 variety. It does not appear to be in
either the boel_binaries or compiled in, because the kernel cannot find
hda. (I see an ethernet driver for the 8111, but I *think* it is
unrelated) If it's a simple entry into the my_modules file, and I'm just
clueless as to the actual module name, please throw me a bone. On the
other hand, if it's an AMD thang, and I need a new kernel/initrd to get
this up, I would like to do this the *right* way, so maybe AMD boxen can
utilize this new kernel/initrd/boel_binaries by deault in future
systemimager distributions.

What say you?
