I looked around for a new tg3 driver and was unable to find one. The closest was http://people.redhat.com/jgarzik/tg3/, but the 2.6 is what I'm already using. So no go on that rout, unless someone has an actual patch or driver that will work with 2.4.25. On the other route, I have disabled tg3 from the kernel. Maybe it is possible tg3 was interfering with bcm57xx from loading. The links are still the same, but the files are now different.
