hello list i try to install gentoo with systemimager via netboot. i use tftp-hpa and isc dhcp server 3.0.2. i fetched the golden client image vand this is stored in the correct directory on the image server. the addclient script made the links to the master script and i try to boot via pxe.
the client boots via pxe, gets from the dhcp server a correct ip and starts loading the kernel configured in /tftproot/pxelinux.cfg/default. it seems that even the ramdisk can be used. the client uses the right autoinstall script (i put some echos in it to test that) but then, if it comes to partitioning (parted -s -- /dev/sda print) nothing happens anymore. there is no error message but the is no more progress in installation procedure! any ideas? tia andy. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
