Errr, no difference: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/systemimager/scripts#diff aims2.master.static \ aims2.master.devfs [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/systemimager/scripts# > I think you will have better luck with newer versions of > SystemConfigurator and SystemImager. Seems I don't need it (see my other post today) but I would like to look at this for a proper solution instead of my measly hack. 3.4 (a deb package from systemimager.org) was not new enough, I didn't try to compile 3.5. > I'm not sure if it'll work but you might consider running alien on our > RPMs or try to build your own Debian packages? Alien is a good idea. I should really just compile them, no? Not sure if I have time to read the debian package maintainer's intro right now... Also, when I upgraded, my systemimager-boot package was replaced, and the new kernel (in the 3.4 si package) did not see the ide-scsi drives. I didn't feel like mkbootpackage again, which I recall taking quite some time to figure out about a year ago. Any idea why that is not included? (Dell Optiplex systems are affected). Thanks for the help, I will report back when I get around to this. cheers, Jan -- .~. /V\ Jan Groenewald /( )\ www.aims.ac.za ^^-^^ ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Sisuite-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sisuite-users
