Although the install died at the 'chroot' section of the script, upon
reboot, the system comes up just fine.  Since this a complete clone with
no post install modifications, I'm done. :)) I'll try your suggestion of
building the cd boot image from the ia64 boot section, but I'll also
have to build my custom kernel on a 64bit system.
