I would like to build SI 3.5.3 on my Ubuntu systems. I need the feature that I saw discussed where the prepareclient operation builds a working initrd of the live system. This should help overcome the fact that I cannot build a bootable CD that addresses the hardware set - Dell Precision 380 (new SATA driver... grrr.).
Anyway, configure works, but the make ends up with the following error: In file included from subst.c:11: /usr/include/unistd.h:236: error: two or more data types in declaration specifiers make[3]: *** [subst.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/geddes/src/systemimager-3.5.3/src/e2fsprogs-1.35/util' make[2]: *** [util/subst] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/geddes/src/systemimager-3.5.3/src/e2fsprogs-1.35' make[1]: *** [subs] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/geddes/src/systemimager-3.5.3/src/e2fsprogs-1.35' make: *** [/home/geddes/src/systemimager-3.5.3/src/e2fsprogs-1.35/misc/mke2fs] Error 2 _______________________________________________________________ The installed version of e2fsprogs on my system is: 1.38-2ubuntu1 Is there a version mismatch?
