I recently started investigating the use of SystemImager to standardize the installation and maintenance method for a number of clusters I use. So far it looks very close to what I want but I have run into an issue where I am not going to be able to use a custom DHCP server with my clusters. Instead I would like to use a boot CD to start the installs and then interactively provide the hostname and other minimal information during the installation process. I can do this manually by using a local.cfg file but this seems like something that could be made a little less painful. Looking through the list archive I found the following postings:

HP CD: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?m=109467156214191
Jan Ekholm: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?m=109508123028725

Jan's method sounds like what I want (or at least a start), but the details of this method were never posted. Can anyone provide more extensive details as to how I would accomplish this? I am more then willing to test it out and post the complete results and associated instructions/files on the wiki for people to use in the future.

Thanks,
Allen
