Hi Bela:
This looks like the issue
that Jeremy Enos was having... is your /tmp directory full by any
chance?
Anyways, I take it when you
say you are running RHEL3.1 you mean RHEL3 Update 1.
I recommend you give the
following unreleased 3.6.3 RPMs a shot:
I was testing RHEL3u5 and was
able to image the node, but systemconfigurator failed to to create the ramdisk
for the node sucessfully. However, if I run systemconfigurator manually on
the node again after it failed, it works fine...
Please let me know how it
goes.
Cheers,
Bernard From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of B. Erdelyi Sent: Mon 09/01/2006 19:40 To: [email protected] Subject: [Sisuite-users] Error with si_prepareclient Hi,
I am using SI 3.6.2 on a HP Proliant DL360 with two 73G SCSI drives running RHLE 3.1. The client preparation is started by issuing the command while logged in as root:
“si_prepapre client –server <server’s IP addr>”
The process starts OK up to the following point:
>>> tar –C /tmp/.systemimager.0 –cf - . | tar –C /tmp/.systemimager.1 –xf - tar: ./dev/gpmctl: socket ignored tar: ./dev/log: socket ignored tar: ./linuxrc: Wrote only 4096 of 10240 bytes tar: Unexpected EOF in archive tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
then unsuccessfully attempts to remove both .systemimager.0 and .systemimager.1 directories and stops.
Does anyone have an idea on what is going on and how to go about fixing this problem? It is my first attempt at using SystemImager.
Thanks, Bela |
