I am trying to use systemimager 3.6.3-1 on the following systems: Golden Client: Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 3 Kernel 2.4.21-47.ELsmp
Image Server: Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 Kernel 2.6.9-42.EL Runs dhcp server I can retrieve the image for the golden client fine. On the image server I run si_mkautoinstallcd -out-file image.iso. I then burn the image to a cd and use it to boot the system I am trying to clone. When the system tries to load all the modules I get the following: "Kernel requires old insmod, but couldn't run insmod.old: No such file or directory" This seems to happen for every module it tries to load. I also get it if I type insmod on the command line after the autoinstall stops. I have successfully cloned machines when the golden client is running the same os as the image server. Does this have something to do with the different versions of the os between the golden client and the image server? Any help would be appreciated. Need to clone this system in a hurry. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
