Ok, I've gone through again and burned a CD from the iso, and somewhere along the process I screwed up, because now it's working...kind of. It connects to the imageserver (hooray!), and is obviously getting some information from it via rsync (woohoo!). It seems to be getting information on how to partition /dev/sda, and suddenly: Load software RAID modules. Beyond that, if I try to reboot from the hard disk I simply get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top-left corner. Also, interestingly enough, if I try to boot to the CD from one of our laptops I get "I couldn't configure the network interface using DHCP". Does this mean I'll need to use a different kernel on the autoinstall disc for the laptops? Anyhow, thanks for your time. I hope this finds you all having a great day! Simón

So it must work. I always use this type of installation for my tests, overriding the dhcp settings with the kernel boot parameters. If you post your iso somewhere on the web, I'll download it and I can try to do a test with my environment. -Andrea ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
