I'm in the process of imaging one classroom full of computers (31 stations),
and the server has slowed to...well, what's slower than a crawl?...I haven't
seen a computer this slow since the last time I used Windows XP! (cheap shot, I
know)

I figure that since it took about ten minutes to image one workstation, that it
might take 10*31=310/60=5 hours, 10 minutes to image a classroom. I'll
DEFINITELY need to look at some alternate methods like multicasting or
bittorrent to alleviate this...

I'm going to have to leave this process running overnight. Perhaps next time
I'll shut down the X server before doing this, as it definitely seems to be
starving for memory (I can't even login on a text prompt to try to stop gdm,
it's so slow).

I look forward to a classroom full of happy beeping computers when I come back
tomorrow :-) Good thing it's Spring Break.

Take care, all!
