Hi,
I try to use the SystemImager tool to create a secure system. The server
is an Intel x86 with SLES9 SP3 and the Golden Client is a Sun Fire V40z
x86_64 AMD Opteron also with SLES9 SP3.
But now I have a problem to create the partition on the golden client.
Error message:
get_arch
Partitioning /dev/sda...
Old partition table for /dev/sda:
Error: Could not stat device /dev/sda - No such file or directory.
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1 || shellout
1+0 records in
1+0 records out
blockdev --rereadpt /dev/sda
BLKRRPART: Inappropriate ioctl for device
parted -s -- /dev/sda mklabel msdos || shellout
Creating partition /dev/sda1.
parted -s -- /dev/sda mkpart primary 0 8197.198 || shellout
Error: The location 8197.198 is outside of the device /dev/sda.
Killing off running processes.
If I try to see the size of the disk with fdisk -l /dev/sda, I see a
size of the disk with 0MB. Strange!!!
I use the kernel and initrd from the package
"systemimager-x86_64boot-standard-3.8.0-1.noarch.rpm" to start correctly
the installation.
I need some help to resolve this problem.
Regards
/Olivier
