Hello,

I am having some troubles using sysimager with regard to oscar cluster 5.0
nodes. I have , I believe , successfully installed oscar on the head node. I
am using Centos 4.4 as a base for my installs. My nodes are Compaq Proliant
DL380 machines. I can reproduce this error on all of my nodes, of simialr
specs, varying by hd size and main memory only.
The console messages from the failed install is below. I have searched here
and the oscar mailing lists and have seen nothing which could be causing the
problem. Maybe I am looking for the wrong item but I am hoping someone here
has experienced a similar issue and might be able to sheed some light on this.

The lines
mke2fs -j /dev/ida/c0d06 || shellout
mke2fs 1.38 (30-Jun-2005)
Could not stat /dev/ida/c0d06 --- No such file or directory

Strike me as confusing, as just above this the output states that it has
"parted" the disk /dev/c0d0.

parted -s -- /dev/ida/c0d0 print
Disk geometry for /dev/ida/c0d0: 0kB - 18GB
Disk label type: msdos
Number Start End Size Type File system Flags
1 1kB 100MB 100MB primary boot
2 100MB 18GB 18GB extended
5 100MB 612MB 512MB logical
6 612MB 18GB 18GB logical

After the failure I can load a live CD of centos on the machine and see these
partitions on the disk, and even run the failed command, and all works.
 "mke2fs -j /dev/ida/c0d06" .

Does anyone have any ideas about what to look for to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
John D.

re-read the documentation to see if your problem is described there.
You have read the documentation, right? :-)

If you absolutely cannot figure it out, visit the SystemImager support page
