I think that the main reason is that I don't have a ia64 to build the RPMs. The same to test them. You can try to build from source the latest release (3.9.6). Any kind of feedback is really welcome... > > So I compiled 3.8.2 on an ia64 rhel4u3 then installing the > systemimager-ia64boot-standard-3.8.2 rpm on the server, moving the > kernel and initrd file in the tftp folder, after booting kernel, it > stops unable to fully load the initrd: > > RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0 > RAMDISK: incomplete write (-28 != 32768) 8388608 > VFS: Mounted root (cramfs filesystem) readonly. > Freeing unused kernel memory: 496kB freed > Error -3 while decompressing! > a000000101624fbc(-10651740)->e00000407ede8000(16384) > > Anyone tried it on ia64 ? Have you tried to use the following boot parameters (as reported in the troubleshooting guide http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/Troubleshooting#Ramdisk_too_small.3F_Getting_errors.3F)? ramdisk_blocksize=1024 ramdisk_size=80000 Thanks, -Andrea ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
