This is using UYOK and boel devstyle="static" is already set by si_prepareclient. What I have not tried is using the systemimager kernel/initrd. I am quite certain I did not get this error with 3.8.0-1 previously on other sles9 installs. This is why I suspect new sles9 kernel. More later.
