Hey,
I wrote a small pure HTML/Javascript page, that can act as a replacement for
or addition to si_monitortk.
Features/Advantages:
- Cross Platform (any browser, any OS), at least theoretically.
- Can be run locally or from a webserver, no extra ports or
applications needed on the server and/or client
- Automatic (background) refresh via AJAX (XHttpRequest)
- Nice design ;-)
- Customizable
Missing:
- Sortable columns
- Monitor console output (this will be difficult to do without
changes to si)
To install the script, simply put the html page together with the
clients.xml in a directory and load the page with your browser. On my image
server I put a link to the clients.xml together with the html site in my
apache dir, which works just fine.
I tested the site on IE7, Firefox 2. Maybe someone could test it in other
browsers like Konqueror and report back.

Note that the clients.xml used here is fake and static, so that you won't
see any progress. For that you have to test the page on your own server.
If you find the site useful, I would be glad if you'd consider integrating
this in the default SI installation. This way I can benefit from the changes
and advantages made by others.
