Greetings,

I am imaging a Dell 2950, using x86-64 kernel and initrd. Both were
created on the golden client during the si_prepareclient phase.

I can boot and mostly install using the i386 kernel, though it fails
attempting to run systemconfigurator, as in Lee W.'s "possible 64-bit
systemconfigurator problem".

I am using 4.0.2.

The Image Server is an i686 machine, but that shouldn't factor in.

I have run si_mkclientnetboot just for kicks, but what I see mirrors
what I have already done. I have used the kernel and initrd from the
golden client's si_prepareclient-generated configuration.

The standard x86_64 initrd does not contain the drivers I need, and I'm
not sure about trying the standard x86_64 kernel with my prepared initrd
due to version mismatches and the fact that the machine I am attempting
to image is in a remote datacenter with 45-minute intervals between
reboots.

I'm curious why systemconfigurator fails to run on the i386 kernel, and
what I can do to run the 64-bit version manually, if nothing else.

The system partitions and loads from the image server fine, but leaves
the bootloader and network interfaces unconfigured.
