Steven, The sysimager wiki may contain information on how to use the overrides, but the implementation is straight forward.
The default systemimager directory is: /var/lib/systemimager Sub-directories include images, scripts, and overrides. Use of the overrides directory is called at the end of the autoinstall.master script prior to umount of the /a/ sub structure from the image. So we use the /var/lib/systemimager/overrides/$IMAGENAME/ directory to place specific implementations of files we need that get altered by systemconfigurator. Say you want to make sure your custom grub.conf gets put back in place? Simply drop it into the overrides directory: /var/lib/systemimager/$IMAGENAME/boot/grub/grub.conf (as applicable to RedHat installations) And at the end of the autoinstall image, it will get copied into place before /a/boot is dismounted. Hopefully you'll find overrides a very useful tool in making sure you image stays in perfect form. Respectfully, Seth ________________________________________ From: Steven A. I have not used the override functionality as of yet in any of my SIS setups.
