        'American Memory'

"Historical Collections for the National Digital Library at The Library of
Congress"

"American Memory is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to
the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than 7
million digital items from more than 100 historical collections." - from
the website

This is a vast and deeply comforting website offering an abundance of
wonderful elements that comprise part of the great American experience. Of
particular note - the List would like to draw the attention of its gentle
members to the "What's New?" link which leads to a warm remembrance in the
collection of "Sunday School Books: Shaping the Values of Youth in
Nineteenth-Century America".
