I've created a catalog using Catgen of G2V calibration stars from the Hipparcos catalog, for use with Cartes du Ciel. It's in the Files section under G2V cat.zip
For users of CdC, if you're not familiar with how to install such a catalog, (I hope I get all the following right...) 1. Unzip the file. 2. Save the resulting folder in the folder .../Ciel/Cat where many of your other catalogs live already. 3. (Assuming using V2.7x) click on the "file card" icon at the left of screen (just below the "light bulb" icon), the "Select Catalogs and Display Conditions" icon. 4. Click on the "Catalogues" tab 5. In the resulting window, click on "New" and use the yellow file folder icon to surf to where you stored the new catalog folder. 6. In the new window that pops up, you should have only one file name appearing, g2v.hdr Highlight that and click "open". 7. Now when you go back to the previous window and click on the red box in that line to turn it green, the stars in that catalog will display. You may want to turn OFF any other star catalogs, temporarily, such as the ones under the "Stars 1" and / or "Stars 2" tabs, so that only the G2V stars will stand out. This offers an easy way to toggle all the color calibration stars (at least, in this magnitude range) near any given object you're imaging. Pete
