I have a hard time figuring out how to update the docs. While I seem to have found out how to actually deploy modified pages on the web server I suspect, those pages in the Slide pages are not native HTML, but generated from the real source. I really tried to find out on apache.org, but actually seem to be too dump.
Any hint?

so, it's probably best to invite anyone from the user list who's interested over to the dev (rather than vice-versa).
