hi slugs, to those who might be interested in a recent post about data recovery from a hard disk, i replied that i knew of a hard disk sent out to get it's deleted/missing data back. this wasn't a hard disk crash mind you. just lost files on the hard disk. a data recovery specialist engaged to retrieve files missing came back with a 20% success rate. ie. only 1/5 of the data was recoverable! whether they did a good job or not i don't know. anyway, the moral of the story is obvious! -- SLUG - Sydney Linux Users Group Mailing List - http://www.slug.org.au To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in the text
