Yes. It is normal for the production version to show no visible output.
Sorry for the confusion - I should have thought of that. A successful program must not only work but must be seen to work. I think I will reconsider adding some of those blinking lights. (Sorry I was absent for this discussion - Mothers Day and all that so I took a few hours off ;-)
